Perry's hand settled on her hip, his grip firm. She felt their kiss shift into something deeper as his mouth moved with more urgency over hers. Suddenly there was real heat between them, and she had to force herself to draw away.

When she did, a soft curse slipped through Perry's lips. His eyes were half-lidded, unfocused. He looked as overcome as she felt.

Aria leaned by his ear. "We'll pick that up when we're alone."

He laughed. "That better be soon."

Oh Peregrine! Too bad this is in the last pages of the book.
I see what you did there Mrs. Rossi.

Have you read a great swoony scene lately? Let me know!

  1. Awwww, poor Perry! That was a late-in-the-book swoon! GOOD. I have been "reading" this book since January, and I haven't finished yet, because I lost interest. Glad to know that Aria and Perry are still holding strong! :)

    Check out my swoon post!

  2. AHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE PERRY!!!! I still need to read this despite the fact that I adored Under the Never Sky and have been waiting for this book for what feels like forever. I have no idea why I haven't picked it up yet. Fail. SO EXCITED. Swoon indeed:)

    1. I know! Reading this scene, I thought to myself, "There's only five pages left. We're not going to get 'later'!"
